The Ministry of Education has postponed the release of the 2026/2027 Computerised School Selection and Placement System results from Monday, 31 August to Friday, 4 September 2026.

A ministry statement, reported by the Ghana News Agency and signed by press secretary Hashmin Mohammed, said the extra time followed requests from parents, guardians, students and heads of schools for more room to finish submitting and uploading student data onto the West African Examinations Council and CSSPS platforms.

Ministry data showed that about 20,000 qualified students still did not have their school choices on the CSSPS platform. Officials said the extension is meant to keep those students from being left out of placement into senior high schools and technical and vocational institutions.

Parents, guardians, students and school heads were urged to use the window to complete outstanding uploads before the new release date. The next confirmed public step is the results release on 4 September, after which families will need the official portal — not unofficial links — to check placements.
